Why should the shotgun snap be practiced from ground level?

There are large,  bulky, and very costly  machines on the market that can spin balls out to Quarterbacks to “simulate” a snap. They are totally impractical as far as size, weight and time to set up, they require electric cords and they do not feed it as an accurate shotgun snap simulation.

The WhipASnap is small, compact, light, reasonably priced and snaps from the ground up immediately and accurately on the snap count. In a game the ball travels in an upward arc. It does not come directly at you like a coach or teammate would snap to you. Even if they are on their knees they are not simulating the speed, angle or movement of the ball accurately. Besides, who wants to be on their knees snapping every practice. Let’s be honest, most snaps are being simulated coming to the QB at chest height.

The snap is vastly different if it comes directly at you vs. in an upward arc like real snaps come. They handle differently. It is much more dangerous in a game to mishandle a snap as it goes through your hands and up over your head vs. simply hitting your chest and bouncing back a little. Thus, the easy, smart and practical fix is to use the WhipASnap. It sits at ground level and launches the ball to your chest at the correct angle. Every QB and every age and level gets an accurate simulation of the shotgun snap. They are assured the highest quality reps, leaving no stone unturned and taking nothing for granted. The more practice can closely resemble a game scenario the better the player is gonna be. Step outside the current paradigm of training, elevate your perspective, and see how necessary it is to take every rep as a QB with an accurate WhipASnap shotgun snap.
